At its December 13 meeting in Dana Point, the Coastal Commission will consider SLO County's proposed changes with regard to accessory dwelling units (e.g. granny flats, in-law units, backyard cottages). The County proposes to remove the current restrictions that the owner live either in the main residence or the accessory unit and that there be a paved road.
