About

Mission

  • To preserve, promote, and enhance the value and desirability of the properties within Cabrillo Estates.
  • To represent the interests and concerns of CEPOA members to government and other entities.

Background

Cabrillo Estates Property Owners Association (CEPOA) was incorporated in 1971 as a mutual benefit corporation with the primary purpose of seeking conformance with the relevant covenants, conditions, and restrictions (CC&Rs). The CC&Rs for Tracts 306, 307, and 310 have since expired; those for Tract 1342 remain in effect.

Cabrillo Estates Property Owners Association is a tax-exempt 501(c)4 organization.
EIN 23-7154044
California corporate number C0635312

What we do

CEPOA provides an organizational structure for collective action to address neighborhood needs. For example, we:
  • Maintain the landscaping at the entrance to Cabrillo Estates.
  • Represent Cabrillo’s interests at community meetings (e.g. LOCAC, CSD, Board of Supervisors).
  • Review plans for remodeling or new construction prior to submission to the county planning department.

Leadership

CEPOA’s leadership is provided by a three-member board of directors that includes the president, vice president, and secretary-treasurer. CEPOA is an all-volunteer organization; there are no paid employees.

Membership

Membership in CEPOA is voluntary and open to all Cabrillo Estates property owners and residents. CEPOA’s financial support comes primarily from member dues. Dues are payable annually in September.

Benefits

By being a CEPOA member you strengthen the association’s ability to represent the community’s common concerns vis-à-vis local government, ensure the entrance to our community remains attractive and cared for, and demonstrate your commitment to keeping Cabrillo the beautiful, safe, and desirable place we are so fortunate to enjoy.

Directory

Every member receives a copy of the CEPOA Directory, which includes all property owners, members' names and contact information, tract maps, key telephone numbers, and other useful information.
