Should you have metal, electrical or bulky items, please call our 805-543-0875 to schedule pick up. Special pricing for these items are $10 each, limit of 2 like items and is valid only during Clean-Up Week. You must call one week before your collection day to schedule the pickup of these items. These items will not be picked up unless you call.

Fire Hazard Abatement

8/17/2018

A representative of CEPOA attended the Los Osos Fire Focus Group Meeting on August 13th, 2018 and got an up date on the 2018 grants status.  Cabrillo got the grant which will give us 6 man days of debris clearing along Rodman in the eucalyptus trees in the same area that was done in 2012.  The comment was made that the upper portion looks good and probably does not need to be done again this time so they can concentrate on the other areas along the perimeter of Rodman.  Getting the 2018 Grant  is the good news.  The money will be dispersed to CalFire about December 2018 and work will begin shortly thereafter, most likely using the Cal Conservation Corp workers in conjunction with the Los Osos Fire Department.

A petition for 2019 Grant monies to do similar clearing of under brush was circulated at the Annual Meeting.  If you have not signed it, please stop by 260 San Jacinto Drive in CEPOA (4th Left off Rodman),  Petition is on the table by the front door.  Signature deadline is Aug 21.  If you want to circulate among your neighbors, email: lilymar@me.com.

Public Safety Power Shutoff

8/7/2018

PG&E recently sent postcards to local residents with information about power outages that may be necessitated when extreme fire danger conditions occur. The information included a link to information on PG&E's website that includes how you can register to receive service alerts.  See pge.com/wildfiresafety.
