Happy New Year to all!

As you know, we recently distributed a survey to members of CEPOA in order to get the ‘sense of the hill’ regarding the Property Owners Association – whether there is interest in it continuing in its current form and if so, how that happens.
Overall, we were pleased with the results – both in numbers of responses (90) and in what they portend for the future of the Association:

  • The overwhelming majority indicated they would renew their membership when asked (if you haven’t already, you will soon be asked)
  • 18 of you indicated you might be interested in being on the Board (6 of those indicated they might be interested in being an officer)
  • 31 of you indicated you might be interested in being more involved as a volunteer
  • 18 of you indicated you might be interested in helping plan the (currently) 2 annual membership social events
  • 17 of you indicated you might be interested in being on the Architectural Review Committee
  • 8 of you indicated you might be able to help maintain our website.

Thank you to all who responded and to those who added notes, sent emails, called and stopped by.  In addition to the survey responses your comments indicated that the most important things CEPOA does/should do (in no particular order) include:

  • Providing the property owner directory
  • Advocating for our neighborhood in community and county government (CSD, LOCAC)
  • View protection (as it applies to encroachment by both trees and houses).

For those of you who indicated you might be able and willing to help, we will be in touch!  Our plan is to schedule a meeting or two to talk about what is required in the various tasks and try to pair people with the task that suits them best.

While we are figuring this all out I will continue as Acting President and will try to keep things moving.
Our Board Meetings are tentatively scheduled for the 1st Thursday of the months of April, July, September and November at a location and time to be determined.  We will post the time and location on the website.  All members are welcome at the Board meetings.

We will plan a General Business meeting in conjunction with the September Board meeting.  Place, date and location to be determined.  We will be looking at our Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws and committee structure and updating them as needed to meet the current needs of the organization.
Please continue to check the website for updates.
